A Lake City institution since 1983!! Good food. Great name!! Growing up in Lake City, Fl this place was always synonymous with crude, sophomoric jokes, but the food is good, and inexpensive. This visit was impacted by the pandemic. Pick up only. I ordered, ran an errand for my mom, and picked up order. Food was good and hot when I got back to my mom's house. Been here many times back in the day. To truly enjoy the experience you must dine inside. Classic Chinese offerings and very inexpensive. Service was always good. Clean establishment. Hopefull, this place remains a small town establishment for years to come.

This place always has been a family favorite. I remember as a kid my mom asking us if we want to go to the FuKing restaurant and we would laugh and say yes we want to go to the FuKing restaurant. It was about 40 minutes from our house, but a place we frequented. We have always done the family style which is quite the deal. My husband and I took my nieces here on the Friday night after thanksgiving. We got a mix of sweet and sour chicken and general tsos. There were ( of us so we got the meal with choose 5). We had enough for leftovers! There was a great amount of food to people and the price was on point! I remember the lighting being more intimate when I was younger... I preferred the dimmer lighting over what is there now, but this place gets all the stars. Could be part nostalgia, but to the newbies at the table, the food was on point. Very happy this place is still around!

Have cane to this place for years cant believe they dont have more reviews. Food is always fresh and best hot and soup soup I've every had.

You go there for the name but come back for the food! The outside isn't very appealing but it's worth it. I hadn't been in 3 years and was worried it might not be as good, but I was not disappointed. I got the beef and broccoli and my boyfriend got hunan chicken and the fried rice. He got the highest spicy level and thought it was more of a medium spicy level, but we both liked our dishes. The beef was cooked to perfection and the sauce was great. The staff is super friendly. A must stop on the way home from Ginnie Springs!

Having heard of this Fu King place from a few friends, I recently visited on a Vero Beach to Tallahassee road trip. More of a "novelty" stop - I came for the Fu King T-Shirt as they say. And 4 of the Fu King T-Shirts I did purchase. Lucked out at $12.50 each by paying cash. Met by a delightful young server, I asked for Combination Platter specials. On the road for several hours, I would rather eat in the car and not waste time dining in. Besides, I really did only make the detour off I-95 for the Fu King T-Shirts. That and a Fu King photo or two. Order the number 10 I was told. Not much into the Chinese soft noodle craze, I accepted the suggestion and Subgum Lo Mein - along with pork fried rice and egg roll - it was. Subgum Lo Mein is a type of Cantonese Chinese soft noodle dish with one or more meats or seafood mixed with vegetables. I've never eaten this meal in my life before this Fu King visit. Meals made "to-go" present challenges not found while dining at a restaurant. First, and foremost, is packing all that food into small containers. And - of course - eating on the road presents its own challenge. In this instance, Fu King packed everything up nice, included plenty of napkins, soy and duck sauce, along with a fortune cookie. Food was pretty decent - the fortune cookie was no Fu King good. Not quite sure whether to call it stale or "plastic" in taste, but I've had better. Subgum Lo Mein had plenty of meat, seafood and vegetables. Fried rice and egg roll were the house brand. It's Chinese to go in ten minutes or less. Clean restaurant and very polite staff. While waiting for my take-out, I used the restroom and found it to be very clean. This Fu King Chinese Restaurant is a strong 3-star choice that receives a bump to 4-stars because of the cleanliness and staff. I'm sure staff are asked quite often by tourists to take a photo or two outside under the Fu King restaurant sign. Sort of "I made the visit and bought the T-Shirt" novelty approach. On my visit, it was raining but the server didn't have an issue snapping a few photos. Located behind the Winn-Dixie and next to a Stop N Go gas station, this Fu King place had plenty of parking and was easy to find on Main Boulevard in Lake City, Florida. William E. Lewis Jr. Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

This restaurant isn't much to look at from the outside, and the fluorescent lights on the inside make it look cheesy and unappealing. But these superficial features hide a truly great dining experience. Like most of these reviews emphasize, this is the place to go for cheap, delicious, plentiful helpings of Chinese food. We got the General Tso's and crab rangoon. The entrée was well spiced, but not sharply. Even those of us who prefer less spicy things enjoyed the "spicy" version of the food. All in all, it's a highly recommended place to eat. $8 will get you two dinners worth of food in an entrée, and good and fast too. If you're on the interstate, this is worth your time 10 minutes away.

We planned on leaving early that day, but it was already past noon when we finally left Jacksonville, Florida, enroute back to our home State of California. Since we skipped morning breakfast, after driving along I-10 barely 60 miles only, we were feeling so hungry already and promptly exited on Highway-441 towards Lake City. Being so famished, we weren't exactly in a position to be picky, so just about a few miles down the road, we saw the sign for Fu King Chinese Restaurant, which somehow looked palatable enough for me and company. Well, I've been to too many Chinese Restaurants before, yet truly I got to say with utmost confidence that they didn't just served another Chinese food, but distinctively it was really Fu King good. The alternative would have been driving another 100-miles toward Tallahassee, however, truly there was absolutely no regrets for this unscheduled stop-over in Lake City. If ever you'll be driving along I-10 westward from Jacksonville and feeling hungry, then I highly recommend a stop-over in Lake City for a meal-break at Fu King Restaurant and get what you want.
